Name: Brooke Birthday: 3/2/1991 Gender: Female
Interests: First of all, I love God; He is a very cool omnipotent being. A close second would be my fabulous, magnificent, wicked awesome, wonderful best friend, REBEKAH!!!!! She is the best thing that has ever happened to me, at least the best human thing. I can't even begin to describe how important she is to me. Our friendship is vital to my health. Backpacking in the Wilderness is great, especially when surrounded by people you love. I love deep-sea fishing with my dad who lives in Hawaii. I talk to a lot of my friends on MSN, and I like hanging out with them while doing various activities. My other interests include leg wrestling, thrift store shopping, knitting, rock music, ice cream football, and late-night TPing. I love to laugh hard which makes me hiccup. My favorite food is pork roast (mmm good!). I like sitting on my porch during thunderstorms. Good movies are always fun and I really like LOTR. Expertise: My expertise would have to be doing random acts of craziness and being a drama queen. I am also talented at making peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches. They are pretty good if I do say so myself. Occupation: Student

| Last night was Bastille Day in France (the equivalent to the fourth of July), so I had the opportunity to watch fireworks by the Effiel Tower. It was totally cool, but what was even more cool was that I saw Nelly Furtado in concert for free beforehand. How many people get to see her perform next to the Effiel Tower?! Okay, so like 500,000, but most were French and didn't fully appreciate how amazing Miss Furtado is. Au 'revoir until I get home, which will be in a week. | | |
| Hello World. This is me. Just recently I went on a trip to the Aloha State and had a wonderful time. The highlight of that trip and of my life was The Mushroom Farm. I'll just say out front that mi padre has conections all over the island because he is a contractor and builds structures for everyone. Continuing to the story. . . One day as we are driving to Akaka Falls, my dad randomly turns up this street and says, "I've got a friend I want you to meet." That is when we pull into The Mushroom Farm and dad walks in asking for the owner by name. Next thing I know, we are getting a private tour to see how gourmet mushrooms are grown. Spores are put into a sawdust mix in a plastic bottle and then sealed. They continue on to an incubation room and stay there for however many weeks it takes. Each variety grows in a set number of weeks. After the mycelium is developed, the cap is removed and they move to another room where the actual mushrooms can bloom. Once the mushrooms reach a certain size they are harvested and packaged to be sent to the resorts and markets all over the islands. This was so fascinating to me because in case you didn't know, the fungus kingdom is defintely my favorite in Biology. : D The rest of the trip was fun as well. I did karaoke, body-surfed 15 feet waves, went beach combing on a green sand beach, and most importantly got to hang out with my dad. ****Note Rebekah and I have decided we will work at the mushroom farm in the future. It will be AWESOME!!! | | |
| Yes. . . My life is amazing at the moment. Why? You may ask. I'm sure you could figure it out for yourself.

| For the concerned public: YES. . . I AM ALIVE!!

| Lately my life has consisted of
BAND,
english homework,
getting a weird tan,
marching from eight in the morning until six at night,
talking to cool people,
switching rooms with mi hermana,
and
being exhausted all the time.
